Wow - you see evidence they promise salvation with it? My friends who have gone and gotten in for free must not have known… If that is all we believed it took, you would think returning from Rome would be cause for one hell of a knock-down-drag-out drunken party…
Maybe that isn’t quite what we believe…

I have no problem with catholicism or any othe religon, but when something is used as an outlet for making a profit, the nature of that thing changes drastically.
When religion used by capitalists as a tool to sell vacations to people, the people who see the advertising are being manipulated. This is apparent to me because I know that an appeal to a persons religion can be very powerful.
The original post is not a claim about your religion, but rather a claim about the potential of your religion being used to get you to spend money.
